The online resource for families
Our attention specialists are now accredited to provide you with a groundbreaking, standardized, continuous performance test that assess attentional control.
The assessment can be taken from the comfort of your own home or clinical setting. Our attention specialists will provide you with this standardized assessment of attentional control and spend time with you reviewing the results. But we won’t stop there. Simply informing you about existing strengths and weaknesses is not enough. We will use those results to develop a solution – a customized Play Attention program that will address all of your needs.
We will need about an hour of your time for the entire process. You will receive a printable report that outlines your results. FOCUS measures several aspects (called constructs) that influence Attentional Control. These constructs are Consistency, Performance, Impulsivity, Performance Decline and Distractions (audio and visual).
Consistency is the measurement of the quality of reacting or performing in a similar way in terms of accuracy and responsiveness when having to execute boring, mundane or repetitive tasks.
Performance is the accomplishment of a given task measured against pre-set known standards of accuracy and speed, i.e. being attentive to completing the task accurately and on time.
Impulsivity (or being impulsive) involves a tendency to act suddenly and without careful thought, reflection or consideration of the consequences. Impulsive actions are typically poorly conceived, prematurely expressed, unduly risky, or inappropriate to the situation that often result in undesirable consequences.
Distraction is the process of diverting the attention of the individual from the desired area of focus and thereby blocking or diminishing the reception of desired information.
The cost of the assessment and review is $49.95 USD.
(FOCUS is not a psychometric assessment and cannot be utilized for diagnostic purposes and can only be administered and interpreted by accredited professionals.)
